Super Punch-Out!! on SNES is one of those games that looks simple until you actually try it. You start off thinking, "Oh, I just punch when they drop their guard," but then some dude with a mustache the size of a banana starts weaving and suddenly you're eating canvas. Every fighter has their own rhythm—some telegraph their moves, others just swing wild—and half the fun is figuring out their tells before they flatten you.

The pixel art still holds up, too. The way opponents flinch when you land a solid uppercut or how their eyes bug out after a counter is weirdly satisfying. And that soundtrack? Pure 16-bit hype. Just don’t get too cocky after beating Glass Joe—the later fights will humble you real quick.

It’s the kind of game where you lose five times in a row, then suddenly everything clicks and you’re dodging like a pro. Still one of the best boxing games ever made.
