Super Probotector - Alien Rebels is one of those SNES games that looks cool until you realize how brutally hard it is. You pick between two robot soldiers (Jimbo or Sully—no real difference, honestly) and immediately get thrown into non-stop alien chaos. The first level tricks you into thinking you’ve got this, then suddenly you’re dodging a screen full of bullets while riding a missile for some reason.
It’s the kind of game where you’ll die in seconds if you don’t memorize enemy patterns. The music slaps, though, and blowing up alien swarms with overpowered spread shots feels great—when you can actually survive long enough to get one. Just don’t expect to beat it without a few dozen continues.
