Super Power League 2 is one of those hidden SNES gems—a baseball game that never made it outside Japan, but honestly, it’s way more fun than most of the MLB stuff we got. The pitching mechanics feel sharp, and there’s this weirdly satisfying crack when you nail a home run. Graphics are bright and cartoony, with these little player sprites that actually have personality.
First thing you’ll notice? The menus are all in Japanese, but it’s not too hard to figure out. Just pick a team, swing for the fences, and hope your outfield doesn’t completely whiff a fly ball. The AI isn’t brutal, but it’ll punish lazy throws. And yeah, you can totally bunt your way to victory if you’re patient.
Definitely worth a try if you’re into retro sports games—just don’t expect a deep franchise mode or anything.
