Okay, so Super Pika Land Ultra - Chocolate Version is one of those SNES platformers that looks cute but will absolutely wreck you if you’re not careful. You play as this little round creature named Pika (who, yes, is basically a ball of fluff with eyes), bouncing through these pastel-colored levels that look like they’re made of candy—except the enemies are weirdly aggressive for something called "Chocolate Version."
The first level tricks you into thinking it’s easy—just some basic jumps, a few floating platforms—but then suddenly you’re dodging chocolate lava pits and these little gummy bear things that shoot sprinkles at you. The music’s super upbeat, which is either motivating or taunting, depending on how many times you’ve died. And yeah, the pixel art is adorable, but don’t let that fool you—this game has some sneaky difficulty spikes.
If you grew up with SNES platformers, it’ll feel familiar in the best way, but with enough weird little twists (like power-ups that turn Pika into a giant marshmallow) to keep it interesting. Just don’t go in expecting a cakewalk—unless you like your cake with a side of frustration.
