Super Oozumou is this weirdly charming sumo wrestling game for the SNES that never made it outside Japan. You pick from a roster of exaggerated, cartoony wrestlers—some are just massive dudes, others look like they wandered in from a fantasy RPG—and then it's all about shoving your opponent out of the ring or making them eat dirt. The physics are ridiculous in the best way; sometimes you'll barely tap someone and they go flying like a deflating balloon.
What's cool is how over-the-top the moves get. There's this one guy who basically does a backflip mid-match for no reason, and the crowd goes nuts every time. The controls take a minute to get used to (good luck figuring out the charge attacks at first), but once it clicks, it's pure chaotic fun. Definitely one of those "wait, how have I never heard of this?" SNES gems.
If you're into quirky retro sports games, this one's a blast with friends.
