About Super Off Road
Super Off Road came out for the Super Nintendo in 1991, published by Tradewest. It was part of that early wave of SNES games where arcade-style action was a big draw. The game translated the feel of the cabinet racer into a solid home version, focusing on quick, top-down truck races.
You control a miniature truck from an overhead view, racing against three other vehicles on tight, dirt tracks. The main goal is simple: finish first across a series of cups to earn prize money. That money is used to upgrade your truck's engine, tires, and suspension between races, which is crucial for keeping up with the increasingly aggressive AI.
