Super Nazo Puyo Tsuu is one of those weird, charming puzzle spin-offs from the Puyo Puyo series—this one’s got Lulu, the tiny witch girl, as the star. It’s Japan-only, so unless you’re fluent in moonrunes, you’ll be guessing your way through some of the story bits. But hey, the core gameplay’s still there: drop those blobby Puyos, match colors, and watch the chain reactions go wild.
The SNES version feels a little slower than the arcade original, but it’s got that classic chunky pixel art and those ridiculous character animations. Lulu’s got her own story mode, and the puzzles get seriously devious later on. If you’re into Puyo Puyo but tired of the same old matches, this one’s a fun detour—just don’t expect a full-blown RPG or anything.
Also, good luck finding a physical copy. Emulation’s your friend here.
