Super Nazo Puyo - Ruruu No Ruu is one of those SNES puzzlers that looks cute but will absolutely wreck you if you're not careful. You know the drill—match the colored blobs before they pile up—but the AI opponents pull off some brutal chain reactions when you least expect it. The first time I played, I thought I had it under control... until Ruruu dropped a 10-chain combo on me out of nowhere.
It's got that classic Puyo Puyo charm, though. The characters chatter at you in Japanese between rounds, and the music has that weirdly catchy 16-bit vibe. If you're into competitive puzzle games, this one's a solid pick—just don't say I didn't warn you about the difficulty spike.
Still one of my favorites for a quick round when I want to feel bad about my puzzle skills.
