About Super Nazo Puyo - Lulu No Lu (japan)
Super Nazo Puyo: Lulu no Lu came out in 1995 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It was developed by Compile, the same company behind the main Puyo Puyo puzzle games. This title was part of a wave of late-era SNES releases that often experimented with established formulas, offering a different kind of challenge for players who had mastered the standard versus puzzle mode.
You control Lulu, a young girl, navigating through a series of single-screen puzzle rooms. Your main objective is to clear each stage by making all the Puyo on the screen disappear. Instead of dropping Puyos from the top, you directly manipulate the existing clusters on the playfield. You can push entire rows of Puyos, and when four or more of the same color connect, they pop. The puzzles require careful planning, as a single push can set off a long chain reaction or leave you with unmatchable colors. The game starts simply but the difficulty ramps up significantly, demanding precise moves and foresight. It feels like untangling a very colorful, very stubborn knot with your mind.
