Super Metroid Eris is one of those SNES games that just sticks with you. You start off in this eerie, quiet space station—no hand-holding, just you and Samus figuring things out as you go. The atmosphere is thick, like you can almost hear the hum of alien machinery in the background.

The controls feel tight right away—wall jumps, morph ball, that satisfying charge beam—but the real magic is how the world opens up. You’ll backtrack through areas with new upgrades, finding hidden paths you swore weren’t there before. And the enemies? Some of them still freak me out, especially the way they scuttle out of the shadows.
