Super Mario Wuss Game

Super Mario Wuss for SNES is one of those weird, unofficial Mario hacks that popped up back in the day—sort of like stumbling on a bootleg VHS at a flea market. It’s basically a romhack of Super Mario World, but everything’s just... off. The physics feel floaty, some of the sprites are janky, and the level design makes you wonder if the creator was half-asleep when they put it together.
That said, there’s something weirdly charming about it. You’ll jump into familiar-looking levels only to realize pits are placed just awkwardly enough to mess with your muscle memory. And don’t get me started on the "Wuss" part—Mario moves like he’s on ice half the time. Not exactly polished, but if you’ve played every official Mario game to death, it’s a fun little oddity to kill an afternoon with.
Just don’t expect it to replace the real thing.
