Super Mario Worldwide 2 is one of those SNES gems that feels like a love letter to classic Mario but with a twist. You start off with the usual running and jumping, but then the levels throw in these weird, almost dream-like layouts—some stages scroll sideways, others drop you into upside-down sections, and a few even mess with gravity. It’s chaotic in the best way.

The power-ups are wild too. There’s a feather that turns Mario into a flying raccoon (because why not?), and some mushrooms make him grow so big he literally busts through the ceiling. The controls are tight, though, so even when things get ridiculous, you never feel cheated. Just don’t be surprised if you lose a life or two figuring out how some of the crazier stages work.

If you’ve played the original Super Mario Bros., this one cranks the weirdness up to 11 while keeping that satisfying platforming feel.
