Super Mario World Ultimate Mayhem 1 is one of those wild ROM hacks that takes the original game and cranks it up to 11. You still get the classic Mario platforming you love, but the levels? Way harder, way weirder. Expect brutal jumps, hidden traps, and enemies in places they definitely shouldn’t be.

First few minutes in, you’ll realize this isn’t your childhood Mario—Yoshi might bail on you mid-air, and those question blocks? Half of them are just there to mess with you. If you’ve beaten the original a dozen times and need something fresh to test your skills, this’ll do it. Just don’t throw your controller.

It’s chaotic, unfair at times, but weirdly satisfying when you finally nail a level after 50 tries.
