Super Mario World Returns EX is basically a beefed-up version of the SNES classic, with some extra levels and tweaks that make it feel fresh if you've played the original to death. You still get that same tight platforming and Yoshi-riding chaos, but now there are new secret exits and a few surprise enemies that weren’t in the vanilla game.

First thing you’ll notice? The colors pop a little more, and some of the level layouts throw curveballs—like that one ghost house that had me running in circles for way too long. It’s still Mario at its core, just with a few extra reasons to revisit if you thought you’d seen everything the first time around.

Definitely one for the nostalgia crowd, but with enough new stuff to keep it interesting.
