Super Mario World New Levels is exactly what it sounds like—someone took the classic SNES game and stuffed it full of fresh, fan-made stages. The controls and physics feel just like the original, but suddenly you're running through weirdly creative (and sometimes brutal) new layouts. One second you're bouncing off koopas in a familiar grassy level, the next you're dodging fireballs in some nightmare version of Bowser's castle that definitely wasn't in the 90s cartridge.

Some of the levels are genius—hidden exits where you least expect them, clever enemy placements that make you rethink shell jumps. Others... well, let's just say you'll develop strong opinions about which designers went overboard with the springs and piranha plants. It's a mixed bag, but when it clicks, it feels like discovering lost Mario levels.

If you've played the original to death, this gives you a reason to dust off the SNES again.
