Super Mario World IceBallz is one of those weird, unofficial SNES hacks that turns Mario's world upside down—literally. Instead of fireballs, you're tossing iceballs that freeze enemies solid, which sounds cool until you realize you can't jump on them afterward. The levels are remixed too, with slippery physics that make platforming way more chaotic than the original.

First time I played, I slid right into a pit because I forgot momentum works differently here. Some of the stage layouts are brutal, but there's a weird charm in seeing familiar Mario elements twisted into something new. Not for purists, but if you've played the original to death and want a fresh challenge, this might scratch that itch.

Just don't expect Nintendo polish—this feels like stumbling into an alternate universe where Bowser runs a winter resort.
