Super Mario World - The New Land 3 is one of those fan-made SNES romhacks that actually feels like a proper sequel. It’s got that classic Mario vibe—colorful, tight controls, and just the right amount of challenge—but with all-new levels that throw some wild twists at you. The first few stages ease you in with familiar Goombas and Koopas, but then suddenly you're bouncing off weird new enemies or navigating these tricky, layered platforms that weren’t in the original.

What I love is how it doesn’t just recycle old ideas. There are fresh power-ups, hidden exits that actually surprise you, and some of the secret paths are brutal to find. The music’s remixed too, so it’s nostalgic but not a straight copy. If you’ve played the original to death, this one’s worth a spin—just don’t expect it to go easy on you.

It’s still Mario at its core, just with a bit more bite.
