Super Mario World - Mega Rex Adventure Game

Super Mario World - Mega Rex Adventure is one of those wild ROM hacks that takes the classic SNES game and cranks it up to eleven. You still get that smooth platforming and Yoshi-riding goodness, but now there are way more enemies, tougher jumps, and some seriously chaotic level designs. The first time I played, I got wrecked by a swarm of giant Rexes in the second level—didn’t even see them coming.
It’s not just harder, though. The hack adds new power-ups and tweaks the physics just enough to keep you on your toes. If you’ve played the original to death and want something fresh without losing that Mario feel, this is a solid pick. Just don’t expect a relaxing nostalgia trip.
