Super Mario World: Bowser's Valley is a fan made game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It was not an official Nintendo release, so you won't find it in a standard cartridge collection. It exists as a ROM hack, a modification of the original Super Mario World that changes the levels and layout. Playing it feels like discovering a lost set of levels from that era, built with the same visual and audio tools but offering a new challenge.

You control Mario, or sometimes Luigi, running and jumping through a series of themed stages. The main goal is to navigate from the start of each level to the goal post at the end, avoiding or defeating enemies along the way. Signature mechanics include the classic cape feather, which lets you fly and spin attack, and Yoshi, the dinosaur companion who can eat enemies and spit them back out. The game often uses screen by screen exploration in certain areas, forcing you to clear all enemies from a section before you can proceed. The pacing is generally fast, but the difficulty can spike unexpectedly with precise platforming sequences and tricky enemy placements. It feels like a rigorous test of the skills you learned in the original game.
