About Super Mario World - B7
Super Mario World came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in the early 90s, developed and published by Nintendo. It was one of the games that really showed what the new console could do, with bigger levels and more colors than what we were used to on the NES. It felt like a natural step forward for Mario games at the time.
You control Mario, or Luigi if you have a second player, running and jumping through the levels of Dinosaur Land. Your main goal is to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser, which involves traveling across a large overworld map, completing stages, and finding secret exits to unlock new paths. A couple of its signature mechanics are the cape feather, which lets you fly and glide after a running start, and Yoshi, the dinosaur you can ride to eat enemies and spit them back out. The pacing is generally smooth, but some of the secret areas and later castles can be quite challenging. It feels responsive and full of little discoveries, making even repeated playthroughs enjoyable.
