Super Mario Something Game

Super Mario Something on SNES is one of those weird, forgotten Mario spin-offs that never got a proper release outside Japan—but if you dig into it, there's some charm here. It's not your typical platformer; instead, you're bouncing between mini-games and oddball challenges, like racing on a giant piano or dodging falling fruit. The controls feel a little stiff compared to the mainline Mario games, but the sheer randomness keeps it interesting.
First time I played, I had no idea what half the power-ups even did (why is there a turnip that makes you float?), but figuring it out was half the fun. The music’s got that classic SNES chip-tune energy, too. Definitely more of a curiosity than a must-play, but if you’ve burned through the usual Mario classics, it’s a neat little oddity to kill an afternoon with.
