Super Mario RPG Revolution is one of those SNES gems that somehow still feels fresh even today. You start off with Mario doing his usual jump-on-enemies thing, but then it quickly shifts into this weird, wonderful mix of platforming and turn-based battles. The timing-based hits—where you press the button at the right moment for extra damage—make fights way more engaging than your typical RPG.

What really stands out is how quirky it is. You’ve got Bowser teaming up with Mario, a talking sword named Geno, and these weird little mushroom people who run a casino. The writing’s got this goofy charm that keeps you grinning, and the sprite work is just gorgeous for a 16-bit game. It’s like someone took Mario, tossed in some Final Fantasy, and then sprinkled in a bunch of jokes.
