Okay, so this is one of those unofficial Mario demos floating around—basically a fan-made SNES take on Odyssey before Odyssey was even a thing. It’s janky in that charming 16-bit way, with blocky sprites and some weird physics (Mario slides like he’s on ice half the time). You’ve got the hat throw mechanic, but it’s way simpler—more like tossing a fireball than possessing enemies. Still, kinda wild to see someone tried cramming that idea into an SNES cart.

First level’s a short desert loop with a couple of goombas and a mini-boss that just… stares at you menacingly before charging. Not exactly polished, but there’s something fun about poking at what could’ve been. Feels like digging up a weird prototype from an alternate universe.
