Super Mario Kart - Pro Edition is basically the SNES classic cranked up a notch. You still get those tight, drift-heavy races on the original tracks, but with tweaked stats and a few surprises—like faster speeds and some sneaky shortcuts I didn’t even know existed at first. The handling feels sharper, too; hitting a perfect drift around Rainbow Road’s turns is way more satisfying now.

It’s still unmistakably Mario Kart—bananas fly, shells explode, and that music is pure nostalgia—but it’s got just enough polish to make it feel fresh if you’ve worn out your original cart. Just don’t expect Lakitu to go easy on you when you fall off the track.
