Super Mario Bros Pow Pow is one of those weird little Flash games that somehow just works. Mario ditches the platforming for a turn as a human cannonball—you angle the catapult just right, hit launch, and watch him soar (or faceplant).

At first, I kept overshooting because I got too greedy with the angle, but after a few tries, you start getting a feel for the sweet spot. The real hook is trying to beat your own distance, though I swear the high scores seem impossible until you nail that perfect arc.

Simple, stupid, and weirdly satisfying when Mario finally sticks the landing.
