Super Mahjong 2 is one of those deep-cut SNES mahjong sims that feels like it was made for late-night sessions with friends. The tiles have that satisfying clack when you place them, and the AI opponents actually play like real people—no mercy if you mess up your hand. It’s all in Japanese, but after a round or two, you start picking up the patterns.
What I like is how it nails the atmosphere: dim lighting, traditional music, even little animations when someone wins. The "4 Nin Uchi" in the title means it’s built for four players, but solo against CPU works fine if you’re just practicing. Just don’t expect flashy gimmicks—this is straight-up, no-frills mahjong.
If you’ve ever wanted to learn the real game beyond match-three clones, this is a solid way to dive in.
