Super Mahjong 2 is one of those classic SNES mahjong games that feels like it was made for late-night sessions with friends. The tiles have that satisfying clack when you place them, and the AI opponents actually put up a decent fight—none of that "let the player win" nonsense. At first, the Japanese menus threw me off, but after a few rounds, you start recognizing the patterns.
It’s got that old-school charm with simple but clean visuals, and the music is weirdly relaxing for a competitive game. If you’ve played other mahjong titles, this one sticks to the basics but does them well. Just don’t expect flashy animations or gimmicks—it’s all about the strategy.
Honestly, I still fire it up when I want a no-frills mahjong fix.
