Super Mad Champ is this weird little motorcycle racer from '95 that somehow slipped under most people's radars. It's got that unmistakable Kunio-kun vibe since it borrows some sprites and animations from Shin Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun, but instead of street brawls, you're doing wheelies and scraping knees on tight turns.
The controls take a second to click—your bike handles like it's on ice at first, but once you get the hang of drifting around corners, it's oddly satisfying. The tracks are short and chaotic, with jumps that'll send you flying if you don't time it right. Not exactly a deep racer, but there's something charming about its janky physics and over-the-top crashes.
Definitely one of those "what were they thinking?" SNES games that's more fun than it has any right to be.
