Super Mad Champ is one of those SNES racers that feels like it’s actively trying to throw you off the track—in the best way possible. The second you pick your ride (I always go for the weird hovercraft thing, even though it handles like a shopping cart on ice), you’re slammed into these chaotic, neon-drenched courses full of hairpin turns and surprise jumps. Miss one drift and you’re eating wall for half the lap.
What’s cool is how each car actually feels different—some grip the road, others slide like they’re on butter, and good luck not flipping the monster truck on tight corners. The AI racers don’t mess around either; they’ll shove you into pits or steal power-ups mid-air. It’s got that perfect mix of ’90s jank and legit skill where you’ll retry a track five times just to nail that one stupid shortcut. Still holds up if you’re into that old-school, white-knuckle racing vibe.
