Super Keiba is one of those weirdly addictive SNES horse racing sims that Japan seemed to love in the '90s. You pick your horse, place bets, and watch these little pixelated stallions go at it—complete with jockeys bouncing awkwardly in the saddle. The controls are dead simple, but there's something satisfying about nailing the timing on your horse's final sprint.
First race I tried, I blew all my yen on some fancy-looking horse that barely made third place. Turns out stamina matters more than speed in the longer races. The soundtrack's all upbeat synth trumpets, like someone remixed a horse auction into a cheery JRPG battle theme.
It's definitely niche, but if you've ever wanted to yell at tiny 16-bit horses, this is your game.
