Super Jinsei Game is one of those weird, charming Japanese board games that never made it overseas—kind of like a more chaotic Mario Party, but with a retro anime vibe. You roll dice, move around a colorful board, and get hit with random minigames and events that can either make or ruin your day. The art’s super 90s, all bright colors and exaggerated expressions, and the randomness keeps it unpredictable (in a good way).
First time I played, I got stuck in a loop of bad luck where my character kept losing money to bizarre penalties, like "sudden rainstorm ruins your picnic." But then I landed on a space that doubled my cash out of nowhere. Classic Jinsei chaos. If you’re into quirky, lighthearted SNES-era party games, this one’s a hidden gem. Just don’t take it too seriously.
