Super Jinsei Game 2 is one of those quirky Japanese board game-style RPGs that never made it overseas—which is a shame, because it’s got this weird charm to it. You roll dice, move around a life-path board, and deal with random events like sudden career changes or bizarre encounters. The art’s super colorful, almost like a Saturday morning cartoon, and the music’s got that classic SNES cheeriness.
At first, it feels like a digital version of The Game of Life, but then you realize there’s way more randomness and humor packed in. One minute you’re getting married, the next you’re suddenly broke because of a bad investment in… I don’t know, haunted turnips? It’s all in Japanese, but the gameplay’s simple enough that you can muddle through with trial and error. Definitely a fun oddity if you’re into retro Japanese exclusives.
