Super Jangou is one of those weird, obscure SNES games that somehow slipped under the radar—probably because it never left Japan. It's a mahjong title, but don't expect anything flashy. The tiles are crisp, the background music is oddly soothing, and the AI opponents actually put up a decent fight.

First thing you'll notice? The menus are all in Japanese. If you don’t know the language, you’ll be fumbling through options at first, but the gameplay itself is intuitive enough once you get the hang of it. The computer players have distinct personalities—some play aggressively, others take their sweet time. And yeah, the victory fanfare after a good hand is weirdly satisfying.

Not gonna lie, it’s niche, but if you’re into retro mahjong or just love digging up forgotten SNES gems, this one’s a neat little time capsule.
