Super James Pond II is one of those weird, charming SNES platformers that never took itself too seriously. You play as James Pond—yes, a fish in a suit—bouncing around levels with this stretchy, almost rubbery jump that feels ridiculous at first but ends up being weirdly satisfying.
The levels are packed with bizarre enemies (like walking bombs with faces) and hidden areas that reward poking around. Some of the platforming can be a little janky, but that’s part of the retro charm. And honestly, the soundtrack slaps—catchy in that early '90s way where every stage has its own weird little melody.
If you’re into quirky, slightly offbeat platformers, this one’s a fun time capsule. Just don’t expect Mario-level polish.
