Super International Cricket is one of those weirdly specific sports games the SNES just had lying around—like, who even knew cricket got a console release? But here it is, complete with all the arcane rules and terminology that’ll make your average American player scratch their head. You’ve got your wickets, your overs, your "how is this even a sport?" moments.
Gameplay’s pretty straightforward once you get past the learning curve: swing the bat, try not to get bowled out, and pray you don’t accidentally trigger some obscure rule that ends your turn. The fielding controls are janky as hell, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about nailing a perfect six and watching the ball disappear into the pixelated crowd. Just don’t expect FIFA-level polish.
If you’re into cricket or just love digging up obscure 16-bit oddities, this one’s a fun little time capsule. Otherwise, you might spend half your playtime googling what a "googly" is.
