Super Inindou - Datou Nobunaga is one of those weird, Japan-only SNES games that never made it overseas. It's a strategy RPG where you play as Nobunaga Oda—yeah, that Nobunaga—but with a twist: you're leading an army of... well, let's just say "unconventional" troops. Think less disciplined samurai and more ragtag rebels with questionable tactics.
The first few battles feel like herding cats—your units don’t always listen, and some just do their own thing mid-fight. But once you get the hang of it, there’s something oddly satisfying about the chaos. The pixel art’s rough but charming, and the music’s got that classic SNES chiptune energy. Definitely not for everyone, but if you like obscure strategy games with personality, it’s a fun little time capsule.
Also, good luck figuring out some of the menus if you don’t know Japanese—trial and error is part of the experience.
