Super Honmei - GI Seiha is one of those weird, Japan-only SNES games that makes you go "what am I even playing?" at first. It's got this bizarre mix of strategy and board game mechanics where you're moving little units around a map, trying to conquer territories—kinda like a stripped-down Romance of the Three Kingdoms but with way quirkier vibes.
The sprites are tiny and colorful, and the menus are all in Japanese, so you'll be doing a lot of button-mashing trial and error to figure things out. But once it clicks, there's something oddly satisfying about watching your little army blob take over the map. Definitely not for everyone, but if you're into obscure retro strategy games, it's a neat little time capsule.
Just don't expect an English tutorial—you're on your own with this one.
