Super Gussun Oyoyo is one of those weird, charming SNES puzzle games that never left Japan—which is a shame, because it’s got this weirdly satisfying block-stacking thing going on. You control these little round dudes (the "Gussun" guys) who can stretch and squish to move blocks around. At first, it feels simple—just match the colors, right? But then the stages start throwing in switches, conveyor belts, and blocks that vanish if you take too long.
The art’s got that early ‘90s Japanese quirkiness—bright colors, squishy animations, and sound effects that make everything feel oddly cheerful even when you’re stuck on a puzzle for 10 minutes straight. I kept thinking I had a solution, only to realize I needed to flip a block at the last second. It’s the kind of game that makes you mutter "one more try" at 2 AM.
If you’re into puzzle games that don’t hold your hand, this one’s a hidden gem. Just don’t blame me when you get obsessed with perfecting your block routes.
