Super Goal 1 is one of those old-school SNES soccer games that feels both nostalgic and a little rough around the edges. You pick your team, jump into a match, and immediately notice how chunky the players look—classic 16-bit sprites with that slightly stiff animation. The controls are simple enough: pass, shoot, sprint, and slide tackle (which you’ll probably spam way too much at first).
It’s not the deepest soccer sim out there, but there’s something satisfying about the way the ball bounces unpredictably off defenders. The commentary is hilariously basic—just a few canned phrases that repeat way too often—but it adds to the charm. If you’re into retro sports games, this one’s a decent time capsule from the early ‘90s.
