Super Genjin 2 is one of those weird, charming SNES platformers that never made it outside Japan—which is a shame because it’s a blast. You play as this caveman dude who can pick up and throw pretty much anything, including enemies, which never gets old. The levels are packed with goofy details, like bouncing on giant mushrooms or riding floating logs down rivers.
It’s got that classic '90s platformer feel—bright colors, chunky sprites, and just the right amount of jank. Some of the jumps are a little slippery, but once you get the hang of it, tossing baddies into pits or stacking them for extra height becomes second nature. The music’s catchy too, in that low-fi SNES way.
If you’re into obscure retro games with personality, this one’s a hidden gem. Just don’t blame me when you get stuck on that one waterfall level—it’s brutal.
