Super Genjin 2 is one of those SNES platformers that just oozes charm—it’s got that perfect mix of weird and wonderful. You play as this caveman dude who can pick up and chuck enemies, ride dinosaurs, and even turn into a helicopter (because why not?). The levels are packed with little secrets and alternate paths, so you’ll probably replay them just to see what you missed the first time.
The controls feel way tighter than the first game, and the new power-ups actually change how you approach levels instead of just being cosmetic. That said, some of the later stages get brutal—expect a few "how was I supposed to know that?!" moments. But the music and sprite work are so good, you won’t even mind the occasional cheap death.
If you’ve never played a Genjin game before, this is the one to start with. It’s like someone took the best parts of Mario and Kirby, then cranked up the weirdness to 11.
