Remember that weird little cartridge that let you play Game Boy games on your SNES? The Super Game Boy was basically magic back in '94—you'd pop in your old gray-brick Game Boy cartridges and suddenly they were on your TV, with colors (sort of). Some games looked great with the added palette, while others... well, let's just say neon pink wasn't always the best choice for Link's tunic.
It wasn't just a passthrough either—the SNES handled the visuals and controls while the cartridge itself had all the Game Boy hardware inside. Kinda blew my mind as a kid seeing Pokémon Red on the big screen, even if the colors were a bit off. Still one of the coolest pieces of Nintendo hardware from that era.
