Play Super Game Boy (world) Online

I remember getting the Super Game Boy for my Super Nintendo in 1994. It was a cartridge from Nintendo that you plugged into the SNES, and then you could slide your Game Boy games right into it. Suddenly, those small, green-screened adventures were on my television, and I could play them with a proper SNES controller instead of the handheld's tiny buttons. It felt like a clever bridge between the portable and home console worlds.

You don't control a character directly in the Super Game Boy; you control the environment for your Game Boy games. The main objective is simply to play your existing Game Boy library on a bigger screen. Its signature mechanics are the custom borders and color palettes you can apply, changing the monochrome game into something with four colors. You explore the same levels and fight the same enemies as on the handheld, but the pacing feels different when you are settled on the couch. The difficulty remains entirely dependent on the Game Boy cartridge you insert. It feels like giving your old portable games a new, more comfortable home.
