Super Formation Soccer '94 - World Cup Final Data (japan) Game
📅 1994 ✍️ Human Entertainment

Super Formation Soccer '94 is one of those classic SNES soccer games that feels a little rough around the edges now, but still has that addictive arcade-style gameplay. The controls are simple—pass, shoot, tackle—but matches get surprisingly intense, especially when you’re scrambling to defend in the last few minutes.
It’s got all the World Cup teams from back then, though the player names are obviously fake (thanks, licensing). The graphics are chunky, and the commentary is just a few repetitive Japanese phrases, but there’s something satisfying about the way the ball physics work. Slide tackles are weirdly effective, and if you time a long shot just right, the keeper barely stands a chance.
Not the deepest soccer sim, but perfect if you want something fast and chaotic. I still fire it up when I’m in the mood for some no-frills '90s sports action.
