Super Fire Pro Wrestling X is one of those SNES gems that never made it outside Japan, and honestly, it’s a shame. If you’re tired of flashy, over-the-top wrestling games, this one’s all about the technical side—chain grapples, submission holds, the works. It feels more like an actual match than a spectacle.
The roster’s stacked with over 80 wrestlers, but the real star is the create-a-wrestler mode. It’s surprisingly deep for a 16-bit game—you can tweak everything from move sets to victory poses. Took me forever to settle on a finisher because there were just too many good options.
Matches start slow, with a lot of collar-and-elbow tie-ups, but once you get the rhythm down, it’s weirdly satisfying. Just don’t expect any flaming tables or backstage brawls—this is pure wrestling, no frills.
