Super Fire Pro Wrestling Iii - Final Bout (japan) (rev A) Game
📅 1993 ✍️ Human Entertainment

Super Fire Pro Wrestling III is one of those SNES wrestling games that actually holds up. The sprites are chunky but full of personality, and the grappling system takes a minute to get used to—button mashing won’t save you here. You’ve got to time your moves just right, which makes pinning someone feel way more satisfying than it should.
What’s cool is how much depth there is. There’s a full career mode where you train stats, take on rivals, and even get weirdly invested in the backstage drama. And yeah, it’s all in Japanese, but the menus aren’t too hard to figure out after a couple of matches. The "Rev A" version tweaks some balance issues, so if you’re gonna play it, that’s the one to grab.
It’s not flashy like modern wrestling games, but there’s something about the weight of the moves and the way the crowd reacts that just feels right. Definitely a hidden gem if you’re into old-school grappling.
