Super Family Circuit is one of those weird, charming SNES racing games that never made it outside Japan. It's like Mario Kart's scrappy little cousin—way simpler, but there's something oddly satisfying about it. You pick from these tiny, almost toy-like cars and race on bright, blocky tracks that feel straight out of an early '90s arcade.
The controls are basic—just gas, brake, and a turbo button—but the tracks have these sneaky shortcuts if you pay attention. I kept crashing into walls at first because the handling’s a little slippery, but after a few races, you start nailing those tight turns. The music’s pure SNES cheese, all bouncy synth and beeps, and honestly? It kinda works.
Not gonna lie, it’s no F-Zero, but if you’re into obscure retro racers, it’s a fun little time capsule.
