Super F1 Circus 3 is one of those weird, charming SNES racing games that Japan seemed to crank out in the '90s. It's not a straight-up F1 sim—more like a cartoony, arcade-style take on Formula 1 with bright colors and exaggerated physics. You’ll slide around corners like you’re on ice half the time, which is either frustrating or hilarious depending on your mood.
The tracks are tight and twisty, and the AI drivers love to bump you into walls. There’s a weirdly satisfying risk-reward thing where you can draft behind opponents to build up a temporary speed boost, but good luck not spinning out when you try to use it. The music’s got that classic SNES synth energy—peppy, slightly grating, and impossible to get out of your head after a few races.
It’s definitely not polished by modern standards, but there’s something oddly addictive about its janky handling and chaotic races. Just don’t expect Gran Turismo.
