Super Earth Defence Force is one of those SNES shooters that doesn’t get enough love. You’re piloting this beefy little spaceship, blasting through waves of alien invaders—some look like squids, others like floating death pyramids. The controls are tight, and the power-ups actually feel meaningful—like when you grab that spread shot and suddenly everything on screen just melts.

It starts simple, but by stage three, you’re weaving through bullet patterns that feel almost unfair… until you realize there’s a rhythm to it. The music’s got that classic SNES synth vibe, all urgent and pulsing. And yeah, the difficulty spikes hard if you’re not careful with upgrades, but that’s part of the charm. One of those games where beating a boss actually feels like an achievement.
