Super Drift Out is one of those SNES racing games that feels way ahead of its time—tight drifting mechanics, surprisingly deep handling, and a killer soundtrack that somehow makes pixelated rally cars feel intense. You start off sliding through muddy tracks, barely keeping control, but after a few races, you’re nailing hairpin turns like a pro. The Japan-exclusive version throws in extra cars and tracks, so if you’ve only played the Euro release, this one’s got some surprises. Just don’t expect forgiving physics—this game rewards patience (and a lot of restarts).
Also, that synth-heavy soundtrack? Still slaps.
